I am Barbara Howe and I am seeking your vote to become governor for North Carolina. I want you to be in charge of your life, your children’s education, and your income. We must break the status quo in Raleigh if we want North Carolina to have a bright and prosperous future.
It is time for the folks in Raleigh, our elected officials, to be reminded that they need to stand for something, that there are principles that must be defended. You own your life. You are owed respect. Governments are instituted to defend your rights, not to limit them.
I respect the fact that you may not have decided to vote for me. A third-party candidate is always long-shot at best in a system that is controlled by the two dominating parties. But you and I both know that what our state government is doing is not working. We can continue more years of the tired policies where government continues to grow while freedom recedes, or we can try moving in a new direction. One where government respects individual rights and personal responsibility. You should be in charge of how your children are educated. You should be entitled to marry whom you love. You should be able to live your life as you see fit as long as you recognize the equal right of others to do the same.
Take a chance this year. End business-as-usual in Raleigh. Take back your rights. Vote Libertarian.
